Padres Son Maestros (Parents are Teachers) is our modified version of the program Parents as Teachers. Due to COVID, the two-weeks of training were offered online which made it possible for me to certify and receive the materials to use with our young moms. Helping parents know how to help their young children grow in language, motor, social/emotional skills seems to be yet another avenue to walk alongside and support our families.
This research-based program has had very positive long-term effects in under-resourced communities in the States. Let’s pray it has the same in Cercadillo and Vietnan!
