Three women from Ovilla Christian School in Texas are here this week leading teacher workshops in the public school where many of my children attend.
Today’s lessons focused on reading comprehension strategies for fiction.
The Dominican teachers seemed to enjoy the practical methods and strategies they learned today and eagerly engaged in the activities.
They told us that they are excited about the next two days of workshops. So are we! 600 children attend the school and we believe that this workshop is going to have a significant impact on the education of many.
Please pray for the American women (Becky, Phyllis and Holly) who are teaching and for me as I am translating. I have had a very sore throat for the last few days and at times have had almost no voice. However, I’m throughly enjoying the opportunity to help teach teachers again.
